Hi
This week, I had a debate with a guru over email about whether a discussion he "started" on Facebook about the Oscars was worth having.
The people in his FB group virtually killed him for his take.
And you know what?
It doesn't even matter what his take was.
So, my 'take' on this is that if it isn't on brand, nobody that buys from you now or will buy from you in the future cares about what YOU think about Will, Jada, Chris Rock or the Oscars.
Even if they say they do.
And even if they 'engage' (lol) with you on social media.
Seriously...they care about mortgages, gas prices and what you can do to help them get over the situation they're in.
If it's on brand for you...then, by all means go for it.
But trying to have a discussion about something controversial like this on social media is a little like herding cats. (No disrespect to you cat lovers)
And as I was saying to Jason, one of your Ultimate Insider colleagues during my office hours this week, when we were chewing the fat...
The phrase 'all publicity is good publicity' isn't a fundamental marketing law.
It just isn't.
Prove me wrong.
Sorry...but you can't.
And this 'all publicity is good publicity' stuff was coined as a phrase looooong before there was social media, where people are (it's medical science) getting rewarded with all kinds of dopamine hits every time they post, lurk, like or respond.
(Yes, even you Mr. or Ms. hardcore veteran information marketer stay on social longer than you know you want to because of the dopamine...not because of the leads it generates.)
BUT, there are 12 marketing fundamentals that are universal, foundational that you ignore at your peril.
And we have been cycling through them over the past 33 weeks.
You can get them live and/or you can get the rights to use them in your business.
I drip the PLR versions out to you over time, but once I finish all 52...I will just release them all.
But still you can and should attend live or watch all 33 of the recorded sessions inside of the searchable playlist in the Course Member Area.
And frankly, that's why I unapologetically set it up so that the product goes away, if an Insider membership lapses. Even though it's public price is cheap at $37 (for now).
It's a long summation of everything I've learned and taught about building an information marketing brand over the course of the 14 years I've been doing this.

Next Up on Saturday
Even though I took off this week...I'm now working on your next Insider selection for month of April which is PowerPoint.
And I've got a power-packed schedule for you in April.
A Good Man is Hard to Find...But
Because emotions of smart people tend to be high on social media, I only advertise there (for free of course)...but I don't do much talking there. And when it seems like I'm talking, I'm really advertising.
Full transparency.
If you want to know what I really think, it will be in my email newsletters.
And if you have a question for me that's not support related, feel free to come to my Office Hours for Insiders.
Otherwise...the best way for me to serve you is to spend my time to researching platforms and immerse myself in the classic, evergreen marketing theory from the greats.
And I do that so that I can give you solid courses you don't have to worry over putting in your membership or selling to your customers.
And I also do it because, I get my own little dopamine hit listening to these old school marketing men and women.
Again, full transparency.
As I was saying to Jason during last Thursday's Insider Office Hours, all of that takes time and leaves me little time (outside of Mrs. Harper-time) for socializing on the internets.
My first priority is Ultimate Insiders to get your questions prioritized and answered first.
I'm also here for you and not-yet Insiders in Xtreme Community, if you'd rather interact there.
For now, I am going to set aside 30 minutes at 6:00 PM EST prior to our Thursday Trainings. And for now, I've decided against recording these calls.
