Hello
Since I cover software platforms in our Over the Shoulder PLR videos, I see a lot of different platforms. I also see the same mistake that marketers make over and over, month after month and year after year.
It's a mistake that information marketers don't do in any other area of their lives...but when it comes to 'little softwares', it seems we have a weakness.
(I have the same weakness)
Here is the problem
You think you can buy a software platform...really cheap and integrate it into what you're already trying to do.
And it will increase your profitability.
Let me ask you...has that worked more times than it hasn't?
You don't have to tell me because I already know the answer.
With the information marketers in our space over the years the whole process happens in the opposite way in which it should.
In short...
New software seeks you out.
Through FB ads, through affiliate offers, through your email or even worse, when you're bored with your business.
And the wrong questions are addressed.
1) Is the person selling it reputable and will he or she stand behind it.
2) Does it do what it says it's going to do
Both #1 and #2 are the wrong questions to answer before you decide to make a software purchase.
The rule I've given you from the Theory of Constraints (Eliyahu Goldratt) is that if a software purchase doesn't diminish a limitation you have in generating profit, it's going to sit on your hard drive and do nothing.
What you'll tell me back is, "well it was cheap and if I just keep it until I need it, it didn't cost me much."
Stop lying.
You know and I know...it's going to take up money and time you should be spending to figure out what you're working on now to be more profitable but are avoiding because of cost, time to learn or whatever.
You should be seeking out the solutions that will solve the profit problems in your business and then pay whatever they're asking even if you're paying the non-launch price.
Ask me how I know.
Okay, well I gotta get back to recording new videos for Saturday.
I hope that blessed (or made you squirm) you a little.
