In the last several posts I've talked about the global meta crisis that humanity faces, which is a convergence of all the crises that we are dealing with including climate change, war, human slavery and increasing government control. I've introduced the concept of trauma and the concept of Shadow Work as way to process all the inner pain and turmoil that accumulate throughout our lives in the form of negative thinking and
suppressed emotions.
The fact is that there are those amongst us who are deeply embedded in their pain and suffering that they cannot take the first step. It is as though they are in a deep pit with nothing to grab onto on the walls to pull themselves out and nobody to throw them a rope. What can these people do?
My advice to you, if you're in this situation is to find some beacon of light in your life, even if you feel that you have lost all hope. This can
be anything such as a person you trust, like a family member or friend, a personal practice, such as breath work or yoga, or a special place where you feel at home, such as a place in nature that you retreat to when you feel utterly hopeless.
If you do not have this beacon of light then go back to your earlier years or even your childhood and try to remember something you did in times of turmoil to ground yourself. Once you identify this then take on that practice. This is
about grounding yourself through the storms of life. Once you are grounded then you can start looking around and searching for the next step.
Find someone or something in your life that helps ground you and then you will be able to start navigating both your inner turmoil and outer challenges and will find a way to overcome hopelessness.
