CHANGING THE GRADE OF OIL FROM #4 TO #2 WITH NYC DEP FOR BOILERS UNDER 2.8 MILLION BTU/HR
We have been advised by NYC DEP that if you have a VALID Registration II Certificate that requires a fuel conversion from #4 to #2 oil, you can submit a standalone affidavit along with performance test data on #2 oil and pictures of the electric heater being cut and capped. The permit will be converted to a Registration I once the affidavit request is approved
However, if the Registration II Certificate is
EXPIRED, you will need an amendment and DEP requires an inspection before it will be converted to a Registration Type I.
