On March 2nd, 2020, New York City updated the Energy Efficiency Tables for Gas and Oil-Fired Boilers. The boilers that are affected are gas-fired atmospheric boilers. Under the previous energy tables, their minimum efficiency was 77% (Thermal Efficiency). Under
the newly revised tables, their minimum efficiency is 79% (Thermal Efficiency).
In the future, when selecting gas-fired atmospheric boilers, please keep this in mind. NYEA cannot file any boilers that do not meet the minimum energy efficiency requirements of these newly issued tables.
