Go North, is a one-day STEM event featuring over 1000 grades 3-8 elementary school students. A partnership between Google Canada, Actua Canada, the Engineering Faculty of U of T, and the Toronto District School Board, Go North is a day long workshopping event that inspires future innovators in the STEM industry.
Engineers of Tomorrow has been invited to participate for the last 4 years now, bringing innovative ways to connect kids to engineering!
This year's booth experiences included: iron ring tessellation art, engineering scavenger hunts, designing and building amphibious houses, and the always popular button maker!
Special guest, Minister of innovation, science and economic development, Navdeep Bains also stopped by the booth to chat about STEM outreach, and make his own button to spread engineering messages.
