Quiet Meadow Diorama Card
(Sketch Challenge)
Create incredible layered dioramas with the Layering Diorama Dies! These dies nest to create a 3D effect for unique diorama card fronts. For an easy but intricate
looking diorama, use a minimum of 3 diorama layers with tonal cardstock to create depth-of-field. Want to create a safari escape? An underwater world? Or frame a space exploration? The diorama designs are versatile to fit a wide variety of diorama landscapes!
Card stock measurements:
Basic White Card Base: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Bottom layer-Evening Evergreen: 5 1/4" x 4"
Middle layer-Soft Succulent: 5 1/4" x 4"
Top Layer-Pansy Petals DSP: 5 1/4" x 4"
TIP: Build your diorama before securing it to the card base.
1. Cut top Pansy Petals DSP layer using the 4th largest of the dies in the Layering Diorama Die set.
2. Cut middle Soft Succulent layer using the 3rd largest of the dies in the die set. Stamp speckles from Quiet Meadow stamp set using Soft Succulent ink along the edge.
3. Cut three flowers out of Basic White card stock using a die-cut machine and Meadow die.
4. Cut butterflies out of Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya card stock using a die-cut machine and Meadow die.
5. Stamp greeting from Quiet Meadow on Basic White scrap using Calypso Coral ink. Stamp small flower image using Evening Evergreen ink. Cut out using the label die found in Meadow die set. Sponge Pale Papaya ink along the edges.
6. Build the diorama:
-Adhere flowers on the bottom Evening Evergreen layer using a small amount of Tombow Glue.
-Attach Foam Adhesive Strips along the edges on the backside of the middle Soft Succulent layer. Remove the backing and attach it to the Evening Evergreen bottom layer.
-Attach the top Pansy Petals DSP layer. You can add dimension to this layer by applying Foam Adhesive Strips to the backside. I chose to attach it using Stampin' Seal Adhesive.
-Attach to the card base.
7. Attach butterflies and greeting using Mini Dimensionals to pop them up.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Quiet Meadow
Ink: Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen
Paper: Basic White, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Layering Diorama dies, sponge, Tombow Glue, Mini Dimensionals
Quiet Meadow Watercolor Bouquet
Create a colorful watercolor bouquet of flowers!
1. Cut flowers and leaves out of watercolor paper and Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent card stock using a die-cut machine and Meadow Dies.
2. Add color to the watercolor die-cuts using Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Bumblebee, Soft Succulent, and Evening Evergreen inks using sponge daubers. Mix and blend the colors using a Water Painter. Set pieces aside to dry.
3. Cut two labels out of Pansy Petals DSP using a die-cut machine and label die from Meadow die set. Cut two rectangles out of Evening Evergreen card stock using a die-cut machine and Stitched Rectangle die. Layer pieces together so the scallop edge of the DSP labels extends past the edge of the Evening Evergreen rectangle. Position on Basic White card front so there is a small gap between the two labels. Trim the other edge to fit the edge of the card front. Attach to
the card front.
4. Arrange and attach flowers and leaves on the card front so their stems fit between the two labels. Because I wanted the tops of the flowers and leaves to pop up, I used a small amount of Tombow Glue on the bottom of the stems only.
5. Stamp greeting from Wrapped Bouquet on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Calypso Coral ink. Cut out using the small tag die in Meadow Die set. Sponge Calypso Coral ink along the edges.
6. I did not have any Evening Evergreen ribbon. So, I colored sheer organdy ribbon from my stash using a sponge dauber to add Evening Evergreen ink. Tie a bow. Attach tag to the bow using Linen Thread. Attach the bow to the card front using a Glue Dot.
7. Attach to Soft Succulent card base. Attach 2021-2022 In Color Jewels to the centers of the flowers to complete.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Sets: Quiet Meadow, Wrapped Bouquet
Ink: Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Bumblebee, Soft Succulent, and Evening Evergreen
Paper: Soft Succulent, Basic White, Evening Evergreen, watercolor, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Meadow Dies, Sponge Daubers, Water Painters, sponge, sheer organdy ribbon from my stash, Linen Thread, Tombow Glue, Glue Dot, 2021-2022 In Color Jewels
Quiet Meadow Collage Card
The Quiet Meadow stamp set is great for creating collage cards!
1. For the background, I used the Acrylic Block Watercolor Technique. Dab Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, and Evening Evergreen inks on clear block "F." Spritz with water, so the inks begin to run and pool. Place block on Basic White or watercolor paper. Let it sit for a few seconds, then lift. Set aside to dry.
2. Create copy paper masking so the stamping does not extend past the edges of the clear block background. Secure the card front to grid sheet paper or other work surface using a small amount of adhesive on the back. Place the copy paper along the four edges of the card front, lining it up with the edge of the clear block background. Secure in place using washi or painter's tape.
3. Stamp word image from Quiet Meadow using Calypso Coral ink.
4. Stamp flowers using Evening Evergreen ink.
5. Remove masking. Stamp greeting using Evergreen ink.
6. Remove from grid sheet paper, and attach to Soft Succulent card base. Cut butterfly out of Calypso Coral card stock using a die-cut machine and Meadow Die. Attach to the card front using a Mini Dimensional to pop it up.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Quiet Meadow
Ink: Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen
Paper: Soft Succulent, Basic White, Calypso Coral
Accessories: Clear Block "F," spritzer bottle filled with water, Grid Sheet Paper, copy paper, washi tape, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Meadow Die, Mini Dimensionals
Quiet Meadow Stencil Card
Save the Meadow die-cut stencils leftover from cutting out flowers and leaves.
They're great for creating soft stenciled images!
1. Lightly sponge Pale Papaya ink on Basic White card front.
2. Place Meadow die-cut stencil on the card front and add Calypso Coral ink using a Sponge Dauber. Move stencil and repeat.
3. Stamp speckle image from Quiet Meadow using Calypso Coral ink.
4. Attach to Evening Evergreen mat. Attach to Basic White card base.
5. Stamp greeting on a scrap piece of Pale Papaya card stock using Evening Evergreen ink. Cut label using die-cut machine and Meadow die. Attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up. Add 2021-2022 In Color Jewels to complete.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Quiet Meadow
Ink: Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, Evening Evergreen
Paper: Basic White, Evening Evergreen, Pale Papaya
Accessories: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Meadow Dies, sponge, Sponge Dauber, Mini Dimensionals, 2021-2022 In Color Jewels
