Pansy Patch Stamp Set and Pansy Dies Stamping and Cutting Guide
I must admit that I was a little overwhelmed with the number of stamps and dies found in the Pansy Patch Bundle.
(Pansy Patch stamp set and coordinating Pansy Dies)
To help you and myself, I created this cheat sheet of how the pieces go together.
I've also created a guide for some fun color combinations.
Save to your computer or print for your convenience.
Once you've got it down pat, you'll be hooked.
Everything will be coming up pansies!
Pansy Patch with Blended Alcohol Background
(Sketch Challenge)
Create pretty backgrounds using the Blended Alcohol Technique.
Color vellum card stock using alcohol-based ink, then blend the inks using Isopropyl alcohol.
Pair with happy pansies for a bright spring look.
The possibilities are endless!
1. Create Blended Alcohol Background. Color Stampin' Blends (alcohol-based ink) randomly on piece of vellum cardstock. For this card, I used Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, and Highland Heather Stampin' Blends.
Wet a cotton ball with 91% Isopropyl alcohol. Dab alcohol over the ink. The inks will pool and vein.
Set aside to dry for a few seconds.
TIP: I found 91% Isopropyl works best for this technique.
If you have a metallic ink refill, place a drop or two on the cotton ball and dab on the vellum. The metallic ink will add veining giving you the look or marble. This is reminiscent of the Polished Marble Technique. For this card, I used Metallic Gold ink refill from my stash.
2. Attach to Basic White card stock backing. Attach to Soft Succulent mat.
3. Stamp pansies and leaves from Pansy Patch on Basic White card stock using various colors. This is a 2-step stamp set. Stamp the solid images first using a light color. Over-stamp using the detail stamp in a darker color. Stamp the centers of the pansies in a contrasting color for detail.
4. Cut pansies and leaves out using a die-cut machine and coordinating Pansy Dies.
5. Attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop up some of the pieces.
6. Stamp greeting on Basic White card base using Blackberry Bliss ink.
7. Attach card front to card base. Add 2021-2022 In color Jewels to complete.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Pansy Patch
Ink: Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Bumblebee, Soft Sea Foam, Soft Succulent, Shaded Spruce, and Evening Evergreen, metallic gold
Light Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends
Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blend
Paper: Basic White, Soft Succulent, Vellum card stock
Accessories: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Pansy Dies, 91% Isopropyl alcohol, cotton ball, Mini Dimensionals, Stamparatus, 2021-2022 In Color Jewels
Blended Alcohol Technique With Pansy Dies
Add pansies made using the Pansy Dies to the Blended Alcohol Background Technique
1. Create Blended Alcohol Technique background on vellum card stock using Stampin' Blends and 91% Isopropyl alcohol. Attach to Basic White backing. Attach to Soft Succulent mat.
2. Cut pansies and leaves out of Blushing Bride, Basic White, Flirty Flamingo, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sea Foam, and Soft Succulent card stock using die-cut machine and Pansy Dies.
3. Layer pansies and leaves, using Tombow Multi-purpose or Fine Tip Glue.
4. Stamp greeting on Basic White card base using Blackberry Bliss ink. Attach card front to the card base.
5. Attach pansies and leaves to card front to complete
Supplies Used:
Stamp set: Pansy Patch
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Light Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends
Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blend
Paper: Basic White, Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink, Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sea Foam, Soft Succulent, vellum card stock
Accessories: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Pansy Dies, 91% Isopropyl alcohol, cotton ball, Tombow Multi-purpose Glue, Mini Dimensionals, Stamparatus
Create a pretty basket of pansies using the pansy and leaf images found in Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper.
The images coordinate with Pansy Dies so, cutting is easy!
This card is perfect for Mother's Day or any special occasion where a basket of pansies is sure to bring a smile!
1. Create basket. Use the basket pattern I created HERE. Print on a piece of copy paper, cut out, trace on a piece of cardstock, then cut out. For this card, the card stock used is Crumb Cake.
2. Emboss basket. For this card, I used the retired Basket Weave Embossing Folder. But, any embossing folder would work to create a metal container or wooden basket. Swipe ink on the inside of the embossing folder. For this card, I used Soft Suede ink. Emboss using Die cut machine.
3. Cut pansies and leaves from Pansy Petals DSP using coordinating Pansy Dies. Cut as many as you like to fill the basket.
4. Attach basket to Soft Sea Foam card stock using Mini Dimensionals on the corners to pop it up.
5. Attach pansies and leaves in a layer. I placed the top layer using Stampin' Seal adhesive. The bottom layers are popped up with Mini Dimensionals.
6. Stamp greeting from Wrapped Bouquet on Fresh Freesia card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink. Trim to a square. Attach to Soft Succulent mat. Attach to basket using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up. Tie a Linen Thread bow and attach to greeting using a Glue Dot.
7. Attach card front to Soft Succulent card base. Add 2021-2022 In Color Jewels to complete.
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Wrapped Bouquet
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Soft Suede
Paper: Soft Succulent, Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake, Fresh Freesia, Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Pansy Petals Dies, Basket Weave Embossing Folder, Linen Thread, Mini Dimensionals, Glue Dot, 2021-2022 In Color Jewels
The Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper is so pretty.
I especially like this design, a burst of pansy colors!
For this card, I let the DSP do most of the work for a bright and cheery ( and easy!) card.
1. Stamp greeting from Pansy Patch on Basic White card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink. Cut out using 2" circle punch or die. Attach to 2 1/4" Fresh Freesia mat.
2. Stamp pansy using Polished Pink, Blackberry Bliss and Bumblebee inks. Stamp leaf using Soft Sea Foam and Soft Succulent inks. Cut out using die-cut machine and coordinating Pansy Dies.
3. Attach Pansy Petals card front to Blackberry Bliss mat. Attach to Fresh Freesia card base. Attach greeting. Attach pansy and leaf using Mini Dimensionals to pop them up. Attach 2021-2022 In Color Jewels to complete.
