I created these Bee My Valentine sucker cards to give to my Wetmore Ladies stamping group as Valentine's Day gifts.
Super easy and sure to bring a smile!
Instructions:
Paper Measurements:
Base (Sweet Sorbet):
3 1/4" x 6 1/2"
Fronts (Bee Mine Designer Series Paper): 3" x 6 1/4"
The length of the sucker will determine the size needed for the cards.
1.Die-cut or punch
shape to match suckers out of Bee Mine DSP. I used my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and Heart Dies. Save the cut-out piece to use in the next project.
2.Cut two 1/2" long slits towards the bottom of the DSP to insert and hold the sucker stick in place.
3.Attach the DSP to
base using Dimensionals on the 4 corners.
4. Insert the sucker. I added a Glue Dot to the back of the sucker wrapping to help hold it in place.
5.Punch bee out of card stock using the Bee Builder Punch. Stamp stripes using the Bee My Valentine stamp set. Stamp
face using Memento Black ink.
6.Stamp wings on Vellum card stock and punch using Bee Builder Punch. Punch another wing out of card stock. Layer wings.
7.Punch a small heart out of card stock using Bee Builder Punch. Stamp antenna using Memento Black ink.
Attach wings and antenna to the back of the bee and attach to the card front using a Mini Dimensional in the center.
8. Stamp greeting on Basic White card stock using Sweet Sorbet ink. Die-cut using Perennial Postage Die. Layer to Sweet Sorbet mat and attach to the sucker stick below the bee and covering up the slits for the stick.
9. Tie a coordinating color of ribbon around the stick. Punch smaller hearts out of card stock and attach to the greeting. Add a adhesive-backed disc to the hearts to complete.
