Jar of Love with the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits Dies is very versatile. This two-step stamp set features flowers, fish, and lightning bugs as well as different sized mason jars to put them in!
Who wouldn't like to receive a mason jar filled with fresh picked flowers?
1. Stamp tall jar onto Whisper White card stock using Gray Granite ink. Cut out using the Big Shot and coordinating framelits die. Cut out the center of the jar using a pair of scissors. TIP: Use a small hole punch to punch a hole in the center. Insert scissors into the hole to start the cutting.
2. Place the jar on Whisper White card front. With a pencil, lightly trace around the inside of the jar. This will help you determine where the water inside the jar should be placed. Remove the jar, and paint water using an aqua painter and Pacific Point and Pool Party inks inside the traced lines. Erase the pencil lines.
3. Stamp the flower stems on the water using Shaded Spruce ink.
4. Stamp the flowers on the card front, above the jar, using Powder Pink, So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Mango Melody, and Gray Granite inks. Stamp the leaves using Shaded Spruce ink. I used the Stamparatus to stamp each of the images.
5. To create the shaker card, cut a jar out of a piece of window sheet using the Big Shot and large jar framelits die. Attach to the back of the stamped jar using SNAIL Adhesive. Place pieces of foam adhesive strips along the edge of the back side of the jar. Be sure not to leave any gaps for the shaker bits to fall through.
6. Carefully place sequins, beads, or confetti (anything small will work) on the center of the water and stems. Peel off the backing on the adhesive strips and carefully place the jar over the water and sequins. Press along the sides of the jar to make sure the adhesive sticks.
7. Stamp larger flowers on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock and cut out using the coordinating framelits die. Stamp leaves onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock using Shaded Spruce ink and cut out using coordinating framelits die. I used the Stamparatus to stamp the images.
8. Place flowers and leaves using Dimensionals to pop them up.
9. Stamp fireflies using Gray Granite ink. Color using Mango Melody Stampin' Write Marker.
10. Stamp lid onto a piece of scrap Whisper White card stock using Gray Granite ink. Cut out using the coordinating die. Stamp the bow using Pacific Point ink and cut out using the coordinating die. Attach the lid and the bow. Place a sequin, jewel, or bead in the center of the bow using Tombow Multi-purpose Glue.
11. Attach to Pacific Point mat. Attach to Mango Melody card base to complete.
