Field of Flowers Easel Card
|
1. Create easel card base by cutting a piece of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Whisper White card stock. Score at 2" and 4". Fold along score lines, so the 2" side is folded forward creating the easel. You will attach the card front to this piece.
2. Lightly sprinkle Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Granny Smith Green Pigment Sprinkles onto watercolor card front. Remember, a little bit of Sprinkles goes along way. Spritz with water to activate the Sprinkles. Let the water run and mix. Dab with a paper towel and set aside to dry.
3. Cut flowers out of Mossy Meadow card stock using the Big Shot and Friendly Silhouettes die. Attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals along the bottom strip to pop it up. Attach to Real Red mat.
4. Stamp the dragonflies from Friend Like You using Mossy Meadow and Night of Navy inks.
5. Stamp greeting on the bottom of the easel card base using Real Red ink.
6. Attach card front to the 2" fold, applying SNAIL or adhesive to the bottom of the card front only. You don't want adhesive on the upper part of the card front.
7. Fold along the score lines, so the front pops up like an easel.
I used the Stamparatus for all the stamped images.
I cut the card base down at the width and at the length, so when the card is folded closed, the finished size measures 5 1/4" x 4 1/2".

Acrylic Block Background Field of Flowers
|
1. To create the background, pat Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, and Mossy Meadow inks on a clear block "D." Spritz with water and stamp onto watercolor card front. Let the block sit for a few seconds. Lift and set the piece aside to dry.
2. Stamp the leaves and stems from Friend Like you using Mossy Meadow marker. Color the flowers on the coordinating two-step flowers stamp using Real Red, Gorgeous Grape, and Calypso Coral markers. Stamp the greeting using Real Red ink.
3. Stamp the wavy background onto watercolor paper in Real Red ink using the Stamparatus to line up the images.
4. Attach the card front to Mossy Meadow mat. Attach to wavy background. Attach to Mossy Meadow card base. Attach enamel dots to complete.
I used the Stamparatus for all the stamped images.
Card measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Supplies Used:
Stamp Set: Friend Like You
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow, Real Red
Mossy Meadow Real Red, Gorgeous Grape, Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Markers
Paper: Mossy Meadow, watercolor
Accessories: Clear Block "D," spritzer bottle with water, Stamparatus, enamel dots from my stash
1. Create a stencil for the sun: punch a piece of window sheet using 2" circle punch. Place the stencil over the watercolor paper card front. Secure with washi or painter's tape. Make sure the window sheet is large enough to cover
the card front, so the washi or painter's tape extends beyond the window sheet onto your work surface.
2. Sprinkle a small amount of Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody Pigment Sprinkles inside the stencil. Remember, a little bit of Sprinkles goes a long way. Spritz Sprinkles with water. You don't want a lot of water. Just enough to activate the Sprinkles. You don't want it seeping under the window sheet. Dab with a paper towel. Remove the stencil and set the piece aside to dry.
3. Stamp the trunks of the palm trees found in Friend Like You using Early Espresso ink. Stamp the fronds using Mossy Meadow ink. Stamp the ground from Waterfront using Mossy Meadow ink. Ink the stamp, stamp off, then stamp onto card front, so it is not too dark.
4. Stamp the greeting from Friend Like You using Real Red ink.
5. Attach card front to Mossy Meadow mat. Attach to Real Red card base. Add enamel dots to complete.
I used the Stamparatus for all the stamped images.
