The calendar says it's Fall, the weather channel says it's still Summer here. Our gardens are just as confused- dropping leaves and producing fruit all at the same time.

Our bees are busy collecting the last of their nectar harvest before winter.
Goldenrod is their fall favorite, and while it produces an abundance of food for them, it gives off a nasty smell.
I'm not sure if nature intends it to be like that so we won't take their fall honey, but I am letting them keep it until Spring.

It's time to start thinking about the holidays on the homestead, which means I am busy making jams, jellies, soaps and crocheted goodies.
In addition to gifts for friends and family, I also make enough to sell and share with you!
