Weekly News
Well I can honestly say life has been interesting since my last newsletter.
My daughter (our 6 yr old) has been sick with the strep first and then a cold.
Our
attempt at finishing the construction can be compared to pulling a loose string on a sweater.
I was hoping to have kitchen remodel pictures to share with you at this point, instead all I have is destruction pictures.
No sink, no counters, no running water, and up until this weekend, no floor.
For the first time in my life I will not be cooking Thanksgiving Dinner.
And that's okay.
Instead, we will be
spending Thanksgiving at our church with other members of the community, sharing fellowship and a good meal.
It isn't what I had planned or our tradition, but I have a feeling we will be exactly where we are supposed to be.
During all my chaos this week and all the construction stress, both financial and physical, I was able to witness to someone by providing them with food from our community when they had none.
It was a
beautiful and humbling experience.
Some people may think the needy are the ones who receive the blessing when the community reaches out, but I am here to tell you, it is the community who receives the blessing by giving.
Giving Thanks- it's a wonderful thing.
