Construction update.
A couple of things I have learned in our 20 years in the construction business, it will take three times as long and cost you twice as much.
I keep forgetting these lessons when it comes to my own projects.

We have finished painting the ceilings and now we're building the kitchen counters. Decided to go with tongue and groove heart pine for the counter tops and I love how it looks. Cost just a fraction of what manufactured counters cost but looks expensive.
A few poly coats on the counters and we can install our sink again. I should have running water in the kitchen by weeks end! It's the little things in life.

Our next project is to install our family room flooring and finish the cedar siding outside. Then we should be ready to place the For Sale sign in the front yard!

The closer we get to our travel date, the more I am evaluating what we really need in life to sustain us and make us happy.
More land? A bigger house? Less stuff?
I do know 'things' have never brought me joy but experiences have.
So my focus will be on what can generate experiences for our family.

I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you and I encourage you to share yours.

How To Get FREE Food That's Healthy!
Sometimes desperation is the mother of invention. When you are on a tight budget, or are facing hunger, you look outside of the box.
