Construction Update
Have you ever heard the saying 'If You Want To Make God Laugh, Tell Him
Your Plans"?
Well he must be laughing His rear end off right now because not only did I tell Him my plans, I told the world.
As many of you know we were planning on going to East Tennessee later next week in search for our new
Homestead land.
We have worked diligently
on our home for months to prepare it for the market so we can sell it and move.
Well, the house isn't done. It seems like the more we do, the more we still have to do. One simple project turns into major construction and nothing is easy (or cheap).
It was a tough decision, but we have decided to postpone our trip until our home renovations are finished. I know this decision makes complete sense, but I am so ready to begin our next
homesteading chapter that I was emotionally crushed by postponing our trip.
Instead of spending our holidays in the mountains with snow and homesteading dreams, we will remain here in South Carolina, finishing our goals so we can truly move forward.
Patience, faith and trust are my continued daily lessons.
As promised, I am sharing a video of the kitchen remodel and a couple pictures of our family room
floor.
Our projects this week are to purge boxes from the construction, install cedar trim to the family room, gut the kids bathroom and add some Christmas Spirit to our home.
I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you and I encourage you to share yours.
Southern' Sayin' Of The Week:
" She could nag the horns off a billy goat"
Hubby is saying this to me this week!
Do you have a Southern Sayin to share? They crack me up!
Our goal is to invite you to join us from conception to completion and form a Community of like-minded people to share this adventure with.
