Weekly News
It's that time of the year when I stop doing and just be.
I always reserve the week before Christmas to breathe in the holiday spirit and not operate on a schedule.
I love making all the old
recipes I remember from childhood, looking at lights, enjoying the smell of the wood burning on the fire and the old movies on TV.
School is our for little Linden and some of the family is off deer hunting today and this week with hopes to fill our freezer for the winter.
As the seed catalogs start rolling in, I use my sharpie to circle everything I want in my upcoming garden. Plotting the layout of where everything will go
and how much I'll need to plant for my family. Even though I enjoy the colder months and respite, the thought of digging my hands in the dirt brings a sense of joy and anticipation.
Construction Update
We are getting sooooo close to the finish line, I can almost smell the mountain air!
Here is where we're at:
This week we are floating the mortar bed for the new
walk-in shower, the tile will go in the: shower, the walls and the floor.
We hope to have everything grouted and the sink and toilet set in by Friday.
Next we have final trim to do in Morgan's room, the living room and then to finish the outside siding. After that- it's ready for market!
Our realtor stopped by today and we were happy to show her our updates. Praying she will find us the perfect
buyer.
I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you and I encourage you to share yours.
Southern' Sayin' Of The Week:
" Busier than a cow tongue on a salt lick"
I actually heard this one today!
Do you have a Southern Sayin to share? They crack me up!
Our goal is to invite you to join us from conception to completion and form a Community of like-minded people to share this
adventure with.
