Weekly News

Happy New Year!
I hope you had a blessed holiday season and a wonderful year.

As we reflect back on the past year, I realized a lot went wrong. Hardly anything went as planned and we had many struggles along the way.
We dealt with numerous construction obstacles, blown car engine, closed one of our businesses, harsh weather, hurricanes, garden pest issues and family life.
BUT- we accomplished a lot, learned a lot and made some new friendships along the way.
I have to remind myself that Homesteading Life  (life in general) is not a race. Enjoy being in the moment and appreciate the hardships because they are the lessons I learn from the most.
I am looking forward to the new year, to making more mistakes and starting new adventures. This year will be the biggest adventure of all!

Construction Update
I may sound like a broken record but the bathroom is not finished. HOWEVER, we are very close. The tile is finished and looks amazing. The freezing temps have delayed the mortar and grout drying process so that slowed us down a touch. I am picking up the paint today, the toilet and sink will go in by Wednesday.
From there we will move on to finishing the trim on the ceiling in my teens room and the cedar siding. It's getting close y'all!!!!!

I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you and I encourage you to share yours.
