Weekly News
If you've joined our healthy living group then you already know I'm still experiencing brain fog. It hasn't lifted much, but at least I can put my clothes on right-side in. No joke.
This whole experience has
been a huge wake-up call about how much sugar I was consuming.
I always cooked from scratch so I thought I was eating clean, but many of the staples I used were store bought and guess what? To my surprise, SUGAR was listed in the top 3 ingredients! It may have stated organic cane sugar but it was still sugar nonetheless.
Getting back to a whole food diet has been the best decision I have made for myself in a very long time. I am not
controlled by food cravings all day and for the first time in decades, I'm not constantly hungry or in chronic pain.
I'm looking forward to planning my garden around my new way of eating and picking my meal ingredients straight from the dirt. Can't get much better than that.
Construction Update
The cedar board and batten is going up outside and I am steadily working on
painting all the trim. The foggy head has slowed me down a touch but I'm still chipping away. This week my goal is to paint all the trim in the master bath and ceiling then paint the built-ins in our bedroom. That will leave me with the mud room trim and my daughters ceiling. Not much left and my to-do list actually fits on one page now!
Hubs and I have a bet to see who can finish their task first. Not sure what the wager is but I know I want to
win!
Southern' Sayin' Of The Week:
" If the Lord loveth a cheerful giver, how he must hate the taxpayer! "
Do you have a
Southern Sayin to share? They crack me up!
Our goal is to invite you to join us from conception to completion and form a Community of like-minded people to share this adventure with.
