Charles Rowland Ingulli Jr., age 80, of Milford, MI, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024.
He is survived
by his loving wife, Marilyn L. Ingulli (Nee:Gennaro); children, Scott(Lamar)Ingulli, Kristy(Tom)Colt and Keith(Carmen)Ingulli; grandchildren, Harrison and Autry Ingulli, Caroline and Tommy Colt, Sunny and Autumn Ingulli; sisters, Sandra Kelley and Mary Wolfe. Charles also leaves many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles R Ingulli Sr and Marjorie Ingulli (Nee:Carrigan).
Charles attended Glen Rock High School in New Jersey and Wittenberg University in Ohio. Upon graduation, he joined the United States Airforce and served as a Para Rescueman/Maroon Beret. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Charles was awarded the Airman's Medal for heroism, The Silver Star for gallantry in action, The Distinguished Flying Cross, The Air Medal and The Vietnam Gallantry Cross. After he came home from Vietnam, Charles received his Master's degree in
Education from Springfield College in Massachusetts. Charles gave 30 years to being a dedicated Elementary School teacher in Wilbraham, MA. Charles was also very active in educating children even outside of school. He was the Director of Camp Wilder Day Camp in Springfield, MA. and Co-Director of The Children's Summer Theatre in Longmeadow, MA.
Charles loved to hike, cycle with
his buddies (including in the Pan Mass Challenge) and kayak. He was an avid collector of Wheaties boxes and loved to whistle.
Charles was a friend to all and his sense of humor and likability were unparalleled.
He will be greatly missed.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held. A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made the the Alzheimer's Association.
