Baker Hughes Rig Count

For last week:

• U.S. Rig Count is down 4 from last week to 749 with oil rigs down 8 to 592, gas rigs up 3 to 154, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 3.
• U.S. Rig Count is up 99 rigs from last year's count of 650 with oil rigs up 73, gas rigs up 24, and miscellaneous up 1.
• The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 1 to 16, up 4 year-over-year.

For last month:

• International Rig Count is up 14 rigs from last month to 915 with land rigs up 18 to 693, and offshore rigs down 4 to 222.
• International Rig Count is up 102 rigs from last year's count of 813, with land rigs up 68, and offshore rigs up 34.
• The average U.S. Rig Count for February was 758 down 14 from last month and up 122 year-over-year.
• The Worldwide Rig Count for February was 1,921, up 23 from the 1,899 counted in January 2023, and up 252, from the 1,669 counted in February 2022.
