Memorial Day Mission Support
A commemorative plaque in honor of our 200+ MIAs in Chuuk, commemorated by Project Recover and Expedition Unknown. Photo by Project Recover Team. Dear ,
You may remember our Chuuk (Truk Lagoon) mission from the Season 12 two-part premiere of Expedition Unknown: Missing Heroes of WWII, with Josh Gates. Project Recover teams have been working in that area
since 2018 and have located three WWII-era planes associated with seven missing Americans. We estimate a total of 45 missing aircraft from WWII's Truk Lagoon missions, associated with 259 missing American service members. This June we are returning to Chuuk to further document our current sites and search for other sites.

Team. Chuuk is one of Project Recover's "campaign" areas, an area with much work to be done. We plan to return to our
campaign areas to build upon multiple cases while further developing our relationships with local leadership and the community.
Will you help support efforts in
our campaign areas, such as Chuuk? Memorial Day is fast approaching. Donate in honor or memory of someone. We'll be posting all May tribute donations in next month's newsletter.
