Dear Friends,

As the years of this pandemic drag on, most of us are in need of a reset and refresh to help us process the anxiety and trauma we collectively experienced. At the Feathered Pipe Ranch, we offer wellness and empowerment workshops in truly unique space to do just that.

While I grieve those we have lost, I am also filled with immense gratitude for healthcare workers—already working tirelessly in the best of times—who have continued to care for us through the pandemic. Healthcare workers have taken on an incredible responsibility and perhaps even more than most of us need to have a moment and space to practice self-compassion.

So how can we help?

This summer, we are happy to welcome Mooxli for a second time at the Ranch to help these superhuman healthcare workers replenish their own depleted energy. Feathered Pipe Foundation has committed to raise $2000 to enable 4 extra healthcare workers to attend the retreat as scholarship recipients. And the best thing is that this amount will be matched by Mooxli's nurse anesthesiologist community. Would you like to contribute? If so, please donate here.

Please read more about Mooxli's mission and scholarship program. And you can listen to our Dandelion Effect Podcast with Sarah Bergakker, founder of Mooxli here.

Dandelion Effect Podcast

We aim for quality and variety of guests whose stories we share through our Dandelion Effect Podcast. The last episode was with Amory Lovins who visited the Ranch in the 1970s and whom Time Magazine has named as one of the world’s 100 Most Influential People and Foreign Policy, one of the 100 Top Global Thinkers. Listen here.

This week, my amazing Aunt VJ joins Andy on the Dandelion Effect Podcast for a candid talk over chai about life. VJ has traveled the world extensively, made a pilgrimage to the holy Mount Kailas in Tibet that inspired her to create a stupa (or two) at the Feathered Pipe Ranch, and has even written a book she channeled through her cat!

Many of you know her from her wonderful Bizarre Bazaars at the Ranch where she displays her rugs and ancient beads and every purchase comes with a story of high adventure. It's never a dull moment with VJ, even though she claims she has no stories to tell. Fix yourself a cup of chai and enjoy The Magic Of Living Without A Map. It is also available on all of your favorite podcasting platforms!

Dandelion Effect Podcast - VJ Supera: The Magic Of Living Without A Map

With no blog posts or reviews to read, and no way to get in touch with friends in real-time (unless you were right there next to one another), people hitched rides, slept in bus terminals and leaned on poor translation and big hearted-strangers for their next moves. These are details that make up the stories of today’s guest VJ Supera, a wild woman of adventure, laughter and endless curiosity.

VJ is the sister of Feathered Pipe Foundation founder, India Supera, and she has been traveling to the most remote corners of the world for nearly 55 years. She rarely—if ever—has taken the comfortable route. Now, at 77 years old, she’s still making her rounds, though trips have taken a different meaning than they did in the days of twenty-something wanderlust.

MOOXLI: Move Your Mindset, Oxygenate Your Soul, Live Differently

In 2022, 500,000 nurses across all levels of training and specialty will leave the hospital bedside for jobs in other industries or outside of the hospital setting stating burnout as a primary reason for the exodus. Here at Mooxli, we realize that in order to change healthcare culture we must connect with nursing residents and students and equip them with the resources they need to address compassion fatigue and workplace burnout.
