India's Health: Asking for Your Love & Prayers

Dear Ones,

It’s been such a long while since I’ve contacted you. As you know, for the last 18 months I’ve been sick with various ailments—it’s like I’m burning all my karma at once. My first ailment was bladder cancer, which I was officially cleared of the first week of last June, then doctors discovered a bleeding ulcer which has caused a lot of discomfort for the past six months. It turns out though that the underlying issue is a rare liver cancer—grade 2 cholangiocarcinoma. Only 20,000 people in America have this cancer each year.

We’re trying to trick the cancer by getting healthy calories from raw juices and saline solution drips, but it’s been very hard to keep food down. The doctors have told me I have several weeks to several months to live. We think we can draw it out quite a bit longer because you know the death sentences from doctors don’t mean a whole lot.

I thought I was going to live through my nine cat lives, but I think I’ve only gotten to seven, unless there were a few that I missed. But a lot of things make sense in my life now, and I feel like I am really coming into the final phase, however long that lasts.

Thank you all for the many, many prayers that have kept me going for the last year and a half. I totally believe in miracles—so without putting too much pressure on ourselves, let’s make this another miracle.

I don’t want anything announced on Facebook or social media, and I kindly ask that you respect the efforts and decisions of my family and medical team by not responding with healthcare or healing suggestions.

We are at full capacity with ideas—but we could use plenty of prayers. On the other hand, if anybody who reads this wants to adopt my two old cats, I’d welcome hearing from you.

My friend and doctor, Gwen Pincomb, has written in great detail about my condition for those who want the most updated information. Attached is Gwen’s letter and some words of hope from my dear friend Dr. Jean Bolen. Jean's letter brings perspective to what can seem overwhelming.

As Ever,
India
