"Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach. Any small, calm thing that one soul can do to help another soul, to assist some portion of this poor suffering world, will help immensely."

~ Clarissa Pinkola Estes

Dear Friends,

We offer these words in trying times when we are being called to stay present to the challenges within our personal and greater world. “As within, so without” is a teaching found in many of the world’s spiritual traditions — and one known well to practitioners of yoga. It’s also found within the texts that elucidate its path and process. One is but a reflection of the other.

We urge you, just as we our urging ourselves, to attend to your well-being in these times. It’s the only way any of us stand a chance of being the best version of ourselves in these intensely hard and frightening times.

The Dandelion Effect

Our podcast, The Dandelion Effect, is an offering of inspiration and resources for manifesting our best selves for the sake of being of service to others. It’s a platform for wisdom keepers sharing their experience of the world. We invite you to listen to their personal journeys as they share how they've tapped into the inner wellspring that empowers their unique expression of the magic and beauty of life.

Our newest episode features our dear friend Matthew Marsolek of the Drum Brothers. Host Andy Vantrease shares a deep discussion with Matthew about the enlivening and healing power of sound, how music is our birthright and absolutely essential for interconnecting our physical, mental, and emotional world. Music has the power to transport us to the very real experience of Oneness. Plus, Matthew shares some mesmerizing song and hand-drumming along the way!

The Gentle Path

As a bonus for your inspiration, we share India’s final recorded interview. There are many gems in what she shares about being present and mindful to what is right in front of you, of the practice of kindness and how it can inspire the same from others, and looking forward to the journey ahead without fear.

Matthew Marsolek: Music is Your Birthright

In this episode, we let the melody of conversation run wild. We explore the ancient roots of music making, the proven physiological effects of drumming, the power of music to unite and build connection.

One of Matthew’s teaching mantras is “If you have a heartbeat, you have rhythm," and his goals as a music educator are to spark joy, to create a safe space for people to reconnect with their inner child’s longing to play, to move past the fear of judgment and perfectionism and to express authentically, their unique song.
