Hello ,
It's often said that on the internet, information is free.
And it's pretty much true. Take a look at Wikipedia, for example, and you'll find an endless stream of web pages, words, and images on every subject imaginable, enough information to fill thousands of textbooks.
But as Albert Einstein once said, "Information is not knowledge".
Knowledge is the use of information. A search for the connection between facts. A step towards a personal understanding.
An example... I've spent a lifetime sifting through the facts of astronomy, and learning the art of stargazing. Decades of reading through shelves of thick textbooks, long nights shivering at the telescope, learning by trial and error, taking wrong turns, right turns, you name it. Years of graduate school.
All to transmute information into knowledge... a personal expert-level knowledge of stargazing and astronomy.
That's why I created
Fundamentals of Stargazing. To share this knowledge with you. At your convenience, and on your terms. To help you know exactly what to do and how to do it so you can see and understand the most beautiful sights in our little part of the universe.
Here’s what one recent student of the course said:
“As a new stargazer I was hesitant to sign up for this course because I was concerned that it would be beyond my capabilities or it would talk down to me. I could not have been more wrong. The lessons were well planned, clear and concise, and in no way beyond the new stargazer. In a word: excellent. A friend who is well versed in astronomy described the course as a "must have, for all levels". An excellent value for the money and a welcome addition to any stargazer’s toolkit.”
Click on the link below to learn more about this course. It’s offered at a reduced price just once a year (until March 14, 2021), and only to a limited number of students. Then it closes for the year.
It would be an honor to count you among this year’s participants.
