Connect to other inspiring women like you!
Happy Earth Day! I started my morning off with an inspirational Earth Day Community Call with Nora Livingstone, our animal ethics expert. I always learn something new from Nora - she helps me be a better, more compassionate traveller. I also had the opportunity to interview Bruce Poon Tip, founder of G
Adventures, about his new documentary "The Last Tourist," which is about the effects of overtourism. As the most powerful influencers in travel, we, as women, have the opportunity to make good choices when we travel. Watch the trailer and my interview here and let me know your thoughts.
Thanks to the generosity of JourneyWomen around the world, we have scheduled more Meetups. You know how much I loved Mexico, so I've decided to return in May for a few weeks before my brother and his family arrive from Australia. This time, instead of Merida, I'll be in Oaxaca, so I'm hosting a Meetup group in Oaxaca on May 21. (PS: If you have tips or advice for me about Oaxaca, please reach
The best way to stay updated on new meetups is to join our JourneyWoman Solo Travel Meetup Group. That way, you'll get alerts when new events are created. Please email me if you'd like to host one!

Community Calls and Workshops
It has been a busy start to 2022 with several webinars, community calls, book clubs and courses. I'm so grateful to the women who have generously offered their time to share their wisdom with us, and to those who joined us.
In the past three months, we've hosted Community Calls on topics like 'Empowering Women in Travel' for International Women's Day, 'Unconscious Bias in Travel', 'Age-Defying Women', 'Nomadic Travel' and 'Setting Your Travel Intention for 2022'. Plus webinars on 'Developing a Travel Mindset', Our Travel Advisor/Insurance Roundtable, 'The Power of Positivity' and most recently, 'A Call to Action for Women' with the inspirational Loung Ung, who's speaking at our
upcoming Women's Travel Wisdom retreat. If you've missed any of these, please visit our YouTube channel (please subscribe while you're
At your request, we have developed new workshops on travel photography and writing that you won't want to miss. The first, "Intuitive Travel Photography" (online + in person on Wednesday, April 27), is taught by Mindy Véissid, an innovative, award-winning international fine art photographer and founder of the boutique school Art of Intuitive Photography in New York. Her approach to photography focuses on using intuition, vulnerability and
trust to capture more captivating photos.
Our travel writing workshop, "Writing as a Pathway From Uncertainty to Connection and Joy" is with Laura Davis, 7-time bestselling author and international retreat leader on Tuesday, May 3. Laura will teach you the basics of personal writing and guide you on a journey using words, story, and deep listening as tools to touch base with yourself. You need not be a writer to join. If you are interested in these
courses, please sign up right away using code JWLEARN to get a 15% discount.
Since I'll be travelling again soon, I've decided to take a little pause on our Community Calls after our Mother-Daughter Travel call on Friday, May 6. However, I will be joining our May Book Club Call on Mexico on May 18 - we're reading "Gods of Jade and Shadow" by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Hope you can join us!
In the spirit of Earth Day, I'd like to offer you a special discount on our eco-friendly JourneyWoman gear. I love my recycled luggage tags and the sassy flamingo bandana designed by JourneyWoman Dr. Mary Clark. Proceeds go to non-profits, and if you buy
before the end of the month, you can get a 15% discount with code EARTHDAY22. Shop here.
Take care and can't wait to see you in person or virtually!
