Last year, in an effort to serve our readers who prefer NOT to be on social media platforms like Facebook, we created a
private JourneyWoman Forum on our website.
This was intended to be a safe space for women to ask questions, share stories, and perhaps find a travel partner along the way. We charged a small initiation fee to verify the identify of each woman who joined to ensure it was safe for you, but did not charge a membership fee. Unfortunately, after a year, our observation is that the
Forum hasn't really been used in the way we had hoped. This is disappointing, but as a small team we need to focus our efforts where it is most helpful and valued by the greatest number of women.
Therefore, we've decided to double down on our other efforts to create connection through other virtual and in-person forums, including our monthly Community Calls, private Solo Travel Wisdom Facebook group, in person Meetups and Travel Book Club. We hope you'll join one of these groups and meet other solo women like you.
