Cold therapy, also known as cold plunging, is a practice in which the body is exposed to cold temperatures in order to stimulate blood flow and reduce inflammation.
This is what I do for a daily cold therapy routine:
1.Start by filling a tub or large basin with cold water. You can do cold showers which is second best to submerging yourself. The water should be as cold as possible, ideally around 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit.
2.Slowly lower yourself into the water, starting with your feet and working
your way up to your waist.
3.Once you are fully submerged, take
deep breaths and try to relax your body.
5.Stay in the water for a
minimum of one minute, or as long as you can comfortably tolerate to a maximum of 12 minutes.
7.After you finish, get out and try to air dry yourself and warm up with some light exercise.
