Juicing Blender of Choice and Avoiding the False Detox
Published: Wed, 03/22/23
Blendtec is a popular brand known for its powerful and versatile blenders. If you're looking for a
blender that can handle all your juicing needs, including blending fiber into your drinks, then the Blendtec blender is an excellent choice and the best in my opinion.
One of the key features of the Blendtec blender is its powerful motor. The blender's motor
is capable of delivering 1560 watts of power, making it one of the most powerful blenders on the market. This power allows the blender to easily blend through tough fruits and vegetables, including fibrous produce like kale, spinach, and celery.
In addition to its powerful motor, the Blendtec blender also features specially designed
blades that are engineered to blend and pulverize even the toughest ingredients. The blades are made from high-quality stainless steel, and are designed to create a vortex that pulls ingredients down towards the blades, ensuring that everything is thoroughly blended.
Juicing with the fiber included is important because it allows you to get the full nutritional benefits of the fruits and vegetables you are juicing. The fiber found in fruits and vegetables is an essential part of a healthy diet,
as it helps to regulate digestion, promote satiety, and lower the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes.
When you juice fruits and vegetables without the fiber, you're essentially removing a large portion of the beneficial nutrients found in these foods. By including the fiber in your juice, you're able to retain these nutrients and
also benefit from the added fiber.
Fiber also plays an important role in maintaining healthy blood
sugar levels, as it slows the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream. This can help to prevent blood sugar spikes and crashes, which can lead to cravings, fatigue, and other negative effects.
Overall, juicing with the fiber included is an excellent way to get the full nutritional benefits of fruits and vegetables and to support overall health and wellness.
When people juice without the fiber, they may experience what I call a ‘false detox’ reaction. This is because the
concentrated nutrients in the juice can overwhelm the digestive system, which can lead to symptoms such as nausea, headache, or fatigue. This can give the impression of detoxing too fast, when in fact it is a result of nutrient overload causing digestive overwhelm. This doesn’t happen to everyone but over the last twenty years I’ve seen it enough to make mention of it.
Without the fiber to slow the absorption of the nutrients, the body may struggle to process the concentrated nutrients in the juice, leading to an overload of the digestive system and vili absorption. Additionally, some people may
consume large amounts of fruit juices, which can lead to an excessive intake of sugar and potentially lead to a spike in blood sugar levels.
It's important to note that this false detox reaction is not the same as a true detox, which is a natural process that occurs in the body to eliminate toxins. While juicing can be a healthy way to incorporate more fruits and
vegetables into your diet, it's important to do so in moderation and to include the fiber to support healthy digestion and nutrient absorption.
