The card deck works as a calendar.
It tells us about the weeks and seasons.
52 cards represent 52 weeks in a year.
The twelve court cards represent the twelve months.
The two colors (red and black) represent day and night.
The four suits represent the four seasons.
There are 13 cards in a suit- and 13 weeks in a season.
With each new season, it was King's week, followed by Queen's week, Jack's and so on until after Ace's week we changed seasons and we started over with a new suit.
If we add the value each of the cards in the deck, we will get 364.
Adding one Joker makes it 365, the number of days in a year.
And the other Joker is for Leap Year.
Â
is a terrific trick we've just added to the shop
that uses this story about the deck of cards!
