Dear Friend,
As you probably know, from 2015 to 2020, the Marsh and I partnered on bringing my solo play on depression and suicidal ideation, The Waiting Period, to the public for free as a means of preventing suicides, telling those struggling with mental illness that they aren’t alone and, educating friends and family members of sufferers about what their loved one is dealing with.
The project has worked beyond our wildest dreams
with people who were planning to kill themselves getting help, the depressed reaching out for support and family and friends being more supportive because after seeing the show, they “get it.” There are literally people alive today who are still here because instead of following through on their grim intentions, they listened to what I had to say.
The show is free
several Sundays a month at noon at the Marsh in San Francisco. It’s free because I don’t want cost to be a barrier to anyone who might be helped by this life affirming show.
In order to provide the show for free, we solicit donations from individuals and businesses to cover production costs and expenses. We revived the project back in February after a 3-year hiatus due to Covid and we want to keep it going. The problem is that donations and contributions have been really slow since the pandemic. Without additional funding, we won’t be able to finish out the year. I want this project to keep going beyond this year because there will always
be a myriad of people who need the help.
Will you please help us with a tax-deductible contribution? We really need it.

You can read more about the show and the project in the E-Press Kit area of BrianCopeland.com. Even NEWSWEEK did a story on our project because it’s of such vital importance. You’ll find the article here.
Won’t you please help me help others by making a contribution, either as an individual or business today? Again, the Marsh is a registered 501c3 nonprofit. Your donation is tax deductible.
If you are in a position where you can donate $1500 or more, I will take you to dinner at one of my favorite Bay Area eateries.
Please help.
