Dear Friend,
Happy Summer! I hope that you had a great 4th of July holiday.
About ten days ago I wrote you asking for help with THE WAITING PERIOD suicide prevention project that I’ve revived with the Marsh theater in San Francisco. The powerful solo play educates people about depression and suicidal ideation as I share my own experience fighting the demon.
We provide the show free to the public so that cost is not a barrier and anybody who needs help or comfort in knowing that they’re not alone can attend. Some people actually come multiple times because they need the reinforcement and they know that for the 70 minutes they are in the theater, they aren’t going to hurt themselves.
We’re only
able to provide the show for free thanks to the generous donations of individuals and businesses. Contributions have been down since we restarted after the pandemic and without your help, we can’t keep this lifesaving project going.
Since my last email, about 40 kind folks have donated a total of a little over $3800. Thank you SO much. It’ll support a few more
shows. It’s great, but we need to raise more.
I’m writing again to implore you to help us out with a tax-deductible contribution to our GoFundMe. I want to keep this project going well into next year, but I can’t do it without your help. If you’ve thought about donating or have been meaning to donate but haven’t gotten around to it, now is the time. We really need
your help to keep this going.
To give, go to our GoFundMe here: https://gofund.me/da404a48
We’d appreciate anything at all that you or your business can
do.
Thank you for helping me save lives.
