Happy Weekend!
I hope you’ve had a good week. Mine has been excellent. This week we recorded the first episode of my new podcast, COPELAND’S CORNER. The podcast is a wrap-up of the week’s news, politics and entertainment, interviews with interesting guests and a comedians round table we call HEADLINERS ON THE HEADLINES.
Check out my new COPELAND’S CORNER podcast here.
Please give a listen and post a comment. I think you’ll find it fresh, fun and informative!
Here’s what else I’ve been into the last week...
WATCHING
From the late 1980s until the early 2000s, there was not a single legitimate million dollar winner in the McDonald's Monopoly game. The whole thing was rigged.
The excellent HBO documentary series McMILLION$ investigates the scam, the involved parties and the beneficiaries who enabled the con to go on for so long.
It’s addictive! Check it out.
BOOKS
Reading the marvelous warts and all biography of Joseph P. Kennedy, THE PATRIARCH: The Remarkable Life and Turbulent Times of Joseph P. Kennedy by David Nasaw. The man led a fascinating life and it’s interesting to read of the origins of the Kennedy fortune... and the Kennedy tragedies.
It’s a looong book, but I enjoyed every word of it.
