Copie's Choice for the weekend of February 28

Happy Weekend!

Copeland's CornerI’m thrilled to announce that Episode 2 of my new COPELAND’S CORNER podcast has just dropped! Please do me a favor, check it out, share with your friends and subscribe.

Here’s what else I’ve been into this week...

BOOK

RewritesI’m rereading Neil Simon’s wonderful theater memoir, REWRITES. The book traces his journey from television comedy writer for classic programs like SGT. BILKO and YOUR SHOW OF SHOWS to the acclaimed playwright of COME BLOW YOUR HORN, BAREFOOT IN THE PARK, THE ODD COUPLE and many, many more works.

It’s a great read for any writer because he talks about the importance of the rewrite to fix what’s wrong with a play.

After 12 drafts of my latest, GRANDMA & ME, believe me when I say, I get it!

TV

The BREAKING BAD prequel, BETTER CALL SAUL, is back on AMC for season five.

Jimmy McGill is finally Saul Goodman and his deep moral descent is slowly but surely developing.

WATCH.

EATS

Had dinner with my pal Bob Sarlatte at one of my favorite San Francisco restaurants, The House of Prime Rib. When you only make one thing, you’d better make it the best.

Trust me...they do!
