Copie's Choice for the weekend of August 6

Happy Weekend!

I hope that it’s been a good week and that you’re happy and healthy.

If you’re like me, you’re disheartened to see the about face America is being forced to
do in regard to the pandemic. Just when we thought we were coming out the other end, we’re back in masks again.

This is controversial to say (which in and of itself is ridiculous) but I’m going to say it anyway. Unless there is a legitimate MEDICAL reason that a vaccination would be PHYSICALLY harmful to you, GET THE DAMNED SHOT.

This isn’t about your “freedom” or your “liberty.” This is about the people around you,
including and especially children who are too young to get the shot and thus extremely vulnerable. If you won’t do it for yourself, do it for them!

I’ve got a few things to recommend to you this week:

Black Widow posterMOVIES

I actually masked up and went to the movies twice this week. I saw BLACK WIDOW, which is an exciting origin movie for the Avengers stalwart. If you like Marvel movies, you’ll love this one. Glad I saw it on the big screen. Nothing beats the full movie house experience for me.

I also saw OLD, the latest from thriller master M. Night Shyamalan. Based on a graphic novel, it’s a great movie with an intriguing premise. A group of tourists are left stranded on a private beach where they age two years for every half hour they’re there. I was on the edge of my seat.

GO!

Speaking of Marvel movies, I have a small part in the new Venom movie, LET THERE BE CARNAGE. This week, I discovered that I’m in one of the trailers! I’m the reporter interviewing star Tom Hardy at the site of a mass grave. Watch for me!

PODCAST

Just finished binging all 6 episodes of DEATH OF A STARLET about the life and murder of 1980 Playmate of the Year Dorothy Stratton. If you saw the movie STAR 80 with Mariel Hemingway and Eric Roberts, you probably know most of the story. This six part podcast goes deeper into the rise and tragic fall of the Canadian model.

LISTEN.

Also be sure to check out my weekly podcast, COPELAND’S CORNER. This week comics Jason Mack, Ronn Vigh and I talk about the phenomenon of those who choose not to vaccinate.

Listen here.

Have a great weekend and, stay safe!
