Dear ,
I've often talked about my good friend marketing guru, Jay Abraham.
Jay is one of the leading marketing experts in the world and commands a $5,000 an hour fee.
When I met with Jay in his office approximately five years ago to discuss collaborating on a project, Jay wanted to pay me for one of my marketing pieces but I declined. I did, however, give him the ok to use it free of charge (I'll share it with you one day).
I mention today Jay because he is famous for his "Only 3 Ways to Grow a Business" teaching. It's as follows:
So what are the three ways to grow a business?
- Increase the number of customers, get more new prospects into paying customers
- referral system, acquiring clients at breakeven upfront and make a profit on the back end
- advertising on social media(facebook, twitter, youtube, Instagram, Linkedin, etc)
- direct mailing
- using telemarketing
- running special events
- develop a unique selling proposition
- increasing the value of your product through better client education
2. Increase the average transaction value, get each client to buy more at each purchase
- increasing sales skills level
- acquiring clients at breakeven upfront and make a profit on the back end
- advertising
3. Increase the frequency that the average client buys from you, get each customer to buy from you more often
- Developing a back end of products that you can go back to your clients with
- maintain a positive relationship with your clients
- endorsing other people’s products to your list
- running special events such as closed-door sales
A 10% increase in each of the 3 areas equals a 33% increase in revenue.
When you think about it, subject to some slight variations, these are pretty much the only three ways to grow. Once you know that, and believe it, you can focus all your efforts on these three methods (or one at a time) and not waste your time elsewhere.
P.S. The video above describes in more detail the three ways to grow a business.
P.P.S. This is a pic that Jay and I took in his office.
Until next time...
And, remember, K.I.C. (Keep It Coptic).
