During this conversation, we discuss:
- His journey to Executive VP and global COO of a leading rare earths and metals company
- The types of minerals that are currently in demand
- How he led the integration of MolyCorp and Neo, followed by an IPO
- Their recent EcoVadis gold medal awarded through their Estonia factory
- How to lead in a volatile industry
- And much more…
According to Kevin:
“For me, leadership starts with the ability to actually listen and really understand your stakeholders. Wherever you are in your career journey, those stakeholders can be internal in the company, if you are say…a CEO, the investor community, the customer community, and the like, but the ability to really understand, engage with whoever your
stakeholders are and listening to them is such an important part of that.
And then at the same time, the communication back and having that ability to explain persuasively at times, if necessary, but clearly and transparently what you stand for, what your company stands
for, what it is that's unique that your company brings to the market, to the stakeholders, is really key.”
