Initiating, developing, and strengthening relationships globally (with people you don’t know yet) can feel daunting.
In a previous episode of the Get Hired Up!
podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with New York Times best-selling author, my friend and influencer, Denise Logan.
She helps clients build meaningful relationships through not just the simplicity of a conversation, but an experience that often lasts a lifetime.
During this episode, we explored an advanced networking strategy
that is truly unique, powerful, and sustainable, by establishing ties that connect at a deep level while crystallizing trust for the long term.
Denise stated something absolutely lovely during the podcast interview that I really want to share with you ...
"I think the biggest surprise for me has been when I have opened into a place of vulnerability, people come closer, there is a myth that somehow we have to separate our personal life and our business life.
And if there's something wonderful that has come from all of the time, where we've been zooming and at home and semi in each other's homes by video conference, it has allowed more opening to come so that we know each other.
This is obviously my jam, I really think that the more we are able to connect with people as humans, and as the people that they are, the more grace we're able to bring into our work. And for me, the more I'm
open about my life, and what's happening, the more other people open about theirs, and then we do better together."
(Thank you for sharing Denise.)
I hope you all enjoy a re-cap of the show.
