Here is an injured crow with a broken wing rescued by daughter Brenna (Westgate Business Development Manager) this week, just hours before Hurricane Lee descended into Nova Scotia. Brenna and her neighbor worked tirelessly to capture the crow without
further injuring it.
It is now safely at the Hope for Wildlife facility in Seaforth Nova Scotia, expected to make a full recovery from a suspected broken clavicle. After fully healed, they will release them back to our neighborhood, and we hope to be there for the
reunion.
Crows have a dynamic and complex social structure and can live upwards of 17 years. These intelligent birds form meaningful relationships with each other which is why their group had stayed late, cawing, and squawking for help as it was being
rescued.
