Yesterday I spoke to a wonderful friend who reported he is expecting a welcomed job offer from a reputable and trusted employer on Monday. Like me, he experienced a career of wonderful employers with large and profitable companies.

I’ve written about the tragedy of workplace aggression many times. Sadly, none of us are immune to the ravages of a leader in power who has no regard for the dignity and health of his or her employees.

I’m one of those who suffered this type of treatment at work; so, I know firsthand how it feels—the dread of going into work each day, the Sunday night anxiety, and the uncertainty of working with a manager with erratic and aggressive behavior. I also know the ravages of illness brought on by stress at work.
