Markette Lane is a spacious paved and shaded village square hidden from view of the road. Enter Flutterbies Cafe and walk through the rear garden to find this delightful space behind the old Bank Building.

You'll find a furniture upcyclers, a silversmith jewellers, a bookshop, several gift stores, small pavilions and gorgeous wooden stalls.

ENCLUME JEWELLERY

Our local silversmith is a real artisan making unique products and custom orders. Each stone is meticulously sourced from fossickers and rock hounds, cut and polished by hand before being set into bespoke pieces of wearable art.

Markette Lane has several Pavillions & Stalls that are used by a range of various retailers as the moment arises. Hence the name 'Markette Lane'. There's fine fabric and a range of hats in one, hand decorated lampshades in another, sometimes the smaller stalls serve fine wine & cheese or offer fresh fruit and vegetables.

For shopping there's a nursery, a garden & gift store, several stalls throughout the cafe complex and an historic wooden building hosting a gallery, clothing and more right at the rear of the garden.

This room serves three purposes. As the Little Shop Next Door it's home to a range of gifts and treasures. As the Piano Room it's home to cabaret and fine musical performances, you can often listen to a live piano recital on Saturdays around lunchtime. It's also an exquisitely decorated and air-conditioned room for diners at Flutterbies Cottage Café.

Dining is available outside al fresco style at all the food outlets in Tyalgum Village, while Tyalgum Hotel and Flutterbies Café also provide air conditioned rooms.

Tyalgum Hotel has a huge beer-garden with seating, shade and a covered area.

Flutterbies Cottage Café has a beautiful shady rear garden with huge trees and dappled sunlight. There are several covered outdoor areas to enjoy dining outside in rain or shine.

Inside the Flutterbies complex you'll also find the Tyalgum Bakehouse, Double or Nothing coffee roasters, the Gin bar and a Black Hops beer bar. On the weekends you might also find Chicken Jerk Burgers and the Soul Fire Cocoa Genesis chocolate & cake stall.

The Stump outdoor grounds is another place where you can eat outside and the General Store has a paved covered area.
