PHIL & TILLEY
Fri 6 March @ Flutterbucks Pizza, 7-10pm
Phil and Tilley play a blend of alternative acoustic/folk music incorporating some really creative ideas, using a slide guitar, a traditional acoustic guitar and an unusual, fold-up-for-travel, upright bass, creating a sound that is uniquely their own.
TYALGUM GONG BATH SOUND IMMERSION
Friday 6 March @ Tyalgum Hall, 6.45 - 8.15, $20
Planet Earth Gongs sets the gold standard for a complete sound immersion experience, bringing the listener into a total meditative and relaxed dream state. Slip into the ocean, swim with whales and dolphins then enjoy a journey through the solar system, or go wherever your imaginations takes you with the vibrations of these incredible Paiste planetary gongs. To complement the gongs, we also provide a range of other amazing sound instruments. Bring a yoga mat and

RUBY LUCK (Piano) & SHIKARA RINGDAHL (Soprano)
Saturday 7 March, 2.30pm start @ Flutterbies Piano Room
Seats are still available for our first Piano Room recital at Flutterbies for 2020. See classical pianist Ruby Luck (LMusA) in concert. Ruby was a finalist in the 2019 Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition and will be performing solo items including Mozart, Mendelssohn & more! Ruby will also accompany Operatic Mezzo Soprano Shikara Ringdahl.
Both artists are graduates of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, with a Bachelor of Music degree, Shikara made her Professional debut with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in 2018, and was their featured soloist for the SSO's regional tour of Australia.
For the Flutterbies concert Shikara will perform classical arias, Art Song and German Lieder.
Doors open 2:00 for 2:30pm start. Tickets are $45 and include a glass of champagne on arrival. Lunch and concert packages available. Limited Seating. All enquiries please call 0488 713 241.

Bring an acoustic instrument (guitar, bass, etc), vocals plus a gold coin donation for the Hall.

SHIMMY MOB BELLY DANCE ANNUAL CHARITY EVENT

Hi, it's Jewels the Belly dancer here.
We are happy to announce that we are back recruiting dancers, helpers, sponsors and donations for our raffle for the annual Shimmy Mob event being held on Saturday May 9th.
Have fun, get fit, feel good, help families in need as we donate all money raised to our local group Wollumbin Family Support Inc. Murwillumbah.
Shimmy Mob is a flash mob type annual event. It is the largest belly dance event of its kind. United, we dance using the same song and the same choreography, wearing the same t-shirt, sharing the same goals, on the same day, all over the world. We dance to create awareness and end domestic violence, and to provide support to victims of abuse around the world.
We invite women, men, children of all ages to participate. No dance experience is required.
We also need donations for the raffle, please contact me if you can help.

SAVE MURWILLUMBAH HOSPITAL!
Cutbacks to staff planned and a rezoning of Murwillumbah as an urban centre! Both these decisions seriously undermine the services provided by our local hospital.
In response, there's a petition started by Janelle Saffin MP. If you want to sign the petition you have to physically sign one (parliament requirements), look for one in the local Murwillumbah shops. In the meantime join the 'Save Murwillumbah Hospital' Facebook page to stay informed about what you can do.
