Happy New Year! It is hard to believe that 2024 is here!
 
As I contemplate the new year, I feel optimistic. The US economy continues to defy expectations and stands strong globally. But if I have learned anything over the past few years, it is that things do not always go according to plan despite our diligence and hard work. And things are still shaky in our world with two ongoing wars and the potential for more, supply chain vulnerabilities, oil prices, global climate events and of course, an impending election in the US.

Despite all of that, my optimism endures. At United Asphalts we have been able to regulate our pricing to offer more stability for future bid work coming up in 2024. We have also seen an increase in specified work going BUR in key markets where severe weather events have been repeated. Anyone will tell you that a 3-ply built-up roof system is the best roof you can install, making it the right choice for more building owners and designers to choose BUR as the best investment. 

I am also optimistic because as some of our competitors have moved away from packaged asphalt, United Asphalts has continued to gain market share. I believe it is because we continue to be innovative in creating more efficient and recyclable packaging options and products. Located in the heart of the US on the front range of Colorado, we service the entire US and maintain a reputation for outstanding quality and customer service.
 
To me, that is a lot to be optimistic about. I wish each of you a 2024 full of blessings, love, and laughter. Let’s make it a great year!
