Hey
Thousands of individuals don’t fully comply with tax law, and that’s a problem because the IRS may descend on them anytime. If you do any of the
following, you should pay attention to this email.
- Drive a car for booked rides or deliveries – Uber, Lyft, etc.
- Rent out property or part of it
- Run errands or complete
tasks
- Sell goods online
- Rent equipment
- Provide creative or professional services in person or on Fiverr, Freelancer, Upwork, etc.
The list has more items that are not listed above. Therefore, it is wise to check the worker classification page on IRS.Gov to see if what you do falls under the “gig economy”.
So, if you are a gig worker, you need to:
- You must report all income,
- From part-time, temporary, or side work
- That is not reported on a Form 1099-K, 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, W-2, or other information return.
- That is paid in the form of cash, property, goods, or virtual currency
Failure to do this may get you in trouble with the IRS. Hire me to file your 2022 tax return and avoid this from happening. You may even contact me now because you could be liable to pay the estimated taxes.
