The IRS will start mailing Letter 6534 to taxpayers on behalf of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services in October 2022. This letter will be sharing information about obtaining Marketplace healthcare coverage.

The letter will be mailed to specific individuals, meaning not everyone will receive it.

If, in case, you receive it, it means you may be eligible to get help paying for health insurance by signing up through the HealthCare.gov website.

The IRS has said that it will not be taking nor answering questions about this development.

If you have any questions, you may contact the Marketplace Call Center at 800-318-2596 or visit HealthCare.gov.
