Please join the Boise Forest Coalition and the Boise National Forest on Tuesday, September 10^th for a Citizen Science Field Day near the Sage Hen area of the Boise National Forest. Participants will learn how to conduct a variety of monitoring activities, including:

1. Photo monitoring plots
2. Hydro meter stations
3. Unauthorized route assessments
4. Wildlife monitoring with game cameras
5. Legacy tree surveys

The goal of the field day is to train interested individuals on the role of monitoring and how to use associated equipment and tools. Participants will then be prepared to assist volunteers at the Boise Forest Coalition’s Volunteer Work Day next spring. All are welcome!

Trip Details:

•  Participants should meet at either the Boise National Forest Supervisor’s Office at 7:00 a.m. OR the High Valley Guard Station at 9:00 a.m. Participants should anticipate returning to Boise by 5:00 p.m.
•  Participants should bring food, water, and sturdy shoes. Boise National Forest will provide hard hats and monitoring equipment.
