PCA—I’ve seen the manufacturer presentations, read the articles, and watched the reviews. I’ve even climbed around inside one at the Los Angeles Auto
Show, but now it’s sitting in front of me, and thanks to Porsche Silver Spring, I have the key! Upon initial approach, it looks and feels like a “normal” car. The design is well-executed and modern, but it doesn’t scream out for attention.

| | Free Documentary via YouTube—The Porsche Macan: Mass car production with a level of customization that comes close to manufacturing. The most successful horse in the stable of this legendary sports car manufacturer. A compact SUV,
combining off-road qualities and everyday versatility with the DNA of a sports car. A masterpiece of logistics and engineering design.

PCA San Diego Region—Cayenne/Macan Off-road Adventure Tour, Saturday January 25th, 2020. The PCA-SDR is heading to the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park for its next Cayenne/Macan Off-Road Adventure Tour! The Tour's plan is to enjoy a
half day of off-road driving along a route that consists of varying terrain of mostly single car-width dirt and rock trails with some wider sand wash areas. The trails are very scenic especially during the rainy season and will mostly require very low speeds to manage due to the tight turns, uneven surfaces, steep grades, and slippery rocks or deep dirt/sand.

| | AutoBlog—The 2019 Porsche Panamera GTS is new to the Panamera lineup this year, and it creates a stepping stone in between the regular V6-powered Panameras and the uber-powerful Panamera Turbo. Under the hood lies a 4.0-liter
twin-turbo V8 that produces 453 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque.

Motor1—It doesn't take much to make the Taycan look ready to hit the track. Porsche is famous for its racing success, and a new rendering from artist Aksyonov Nikita shows what it might look like if the company ever creates a
competition-spec version of the Taycan. The result looks fantastic. Nikita's creation blends elements of the Taycan and 911 RSR race car. The front end takes its styling cues from Porsche's new EV, including the headlights that integrate into gills at each corner.

| | Automobile—Porsche's options list is one of the most exhaustive—and exhaustively easy to spend too much money on—in the car industry. You can splurge on
LED lighting, leather-wrapped air-conditioning vent slats, paint-matched key fobs, and, yes, even fancy exhaust systems. Should you not feel like delving into Porsche's labyrinthian order guide, there's always the brand's GTS trim level, a one-stop-shop grade offered across nearly every model in the lineup.
|
Motor1—If you are holding off on buying a Porsche Cayenne Coupe until a hotter model arrives, then here's your answer. These spy shots possibly reveal the brand's development of the Cayenne Coupe GT. The front of this Cayenne Coupe looks largely identical to the existing models. There's no camouflage that's readily visible, and you might think this is just a normal example of the crossover. However, the most
interesting element of this model is at the back.

| | MotorTrend—Porsche has created a convincing Tesla fighter with the Taycan Turbo S, certainly in terms of performance. Delivering 751 horsepower in Overboost
mode, or 617 hp in normal driving, this top-shelf Taycan is poised to be one of the quickest electric cars on the market. But its incredible performance will come at a price, if new EPA estimates are any indication. The Taycan Turbo S is rated at 68 MPGe, making it much less efficient than rivals.

MotorTrend—This is it. The cheapest new Porsche you can buy. The 2020 Porsche Macan starts at $52,250, including destination, a little over half what you'll pay for a base 911 Carrera. What that gets you is a premium compact SUV
powered by a 248-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a description that could equally be applied to an AWD Lincoln Corsair that's about $12,000 cheaper. Is the Porsche badge really worth that much more?
| | |
| | Motor Authority—The 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid has an undeniably impressive powertrain. It’s a symphony of gasoline and electric power that crescendos to a peak of 670 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque. The Cayenne
Turbo S E-Hybrid’s powertrain is so remarkable that it often overshadows the rest of the SUV’s engineering, and that's a real shame, because the rest of the Cayenne’s mechanical bits are just as impressive. For starters, the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid comes standard with the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system that uses an electronically controlled clutch to divvy power between the front and rear axles.
|
MotorWeek—Time is rapidly passing us by for our 2019 Porsche Macan S. Or maybe that’s just us quickly passing everything, in this 348-horsepower sports car in crossover clothing. Is it the most practical utility you can buy? No, but
the list of SUVs that deliver anything close to the Macan’s connected driving experience is a real short one. We’re closing in on 4-months of drive time, and mileage sits at 5,500.
| | |
| | MotorTrend—Porsche is betting big on the Taycan. Make no mistake, Taycan is more than just greenwash, more than just a hastily improvised mea culpa for the Volkswagen Group's dieselgate shenanigans. Porsche is spending more than a
billion dollars to bring its first electric sports car to market, almost $800 million of that on a dedicated new factory.
|
Autoblog—The 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is a sneaky performance crossover disguised as a plug-in hybrid. Porsche places it below the Cayenne S in its price and performance hierarchy, but the E-Hybrid is arguably more fun and
enjoyable to drive than the S. Thank the 134-horsepower electric motor that delivers all of its torque right away, bringing power output all the way up to 455 horses and 516 pound-feet of torque.

| | Esquire—Officially the Porsche Taycan (pronounced tie-khan just so you know) doesn’t hit the roads until early next year. The tens of thousands of people who’ve ordered one haven’t even signed the delivery papers yet. Which means
calling it out as car of the year is probably a little on the premature side. But having just driven it in California on the twisting mountain roads north of Los Angeles, well, frankly who cares which category year it officially falls into. Let’s consider how good – and significant – a machine this actually is.
|
| | Car and Driver—The most powerful versions of the Cayenne wear the Turbo badge and are some of the most powerful and best-performing SUVs available. As with the rest of Porsche's lineup of sports cars, sedans, and crossovers, the 2020
Porsche Cayenne Turbo models are fast, well built, and expensive. As true Porsches, they offer luxury-car appointments combined with big power and athletic handling that defy their considerable size and weight. Two models are available, each with all-wheel drive and their own potent powertrain. That includes the Turbo S E-Hybrid plug-in, which packs 670 horsepower and, on a full charge, can be driven more than 20 miles.

Motor1—People buying high-riding SUVs over small cars isn't a new trend in the U.S. – we have seen this one coming towards the start of the previous decade. For many car buyers, SUVs are more practical than smaller ones, and that
translates to the increasing demand for SUVs on annual sales reports. Porsche isn't spared of that trend. As a sports car maker, the Stuttgart-based company continues to sell more SUVs than its smaller cars. In 2019, the sales difference between the two car types ballooned further

| | AutoBlog—The 2019 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo is the Porsche Panamera you want to buy. It’s a wagon, and it’s a Porsche – enough to make any gearhead swoon. It might be even better than baby Yoda and his soup. And yet, the sales
split between the regular Panamera and Panamera Sport Turismo tells a different story. According to Porsche North America boss Klaus Zellmer, the Panamera Sport Turismo makes up a mere 10% of all Panamera sales in the United States.

PCA—In late November, PCA hosted Tech Tactics West at Porsche’s dealer technician training facility in Eastvale, CA and fortunately there were plenty of Porsche Taycans on hand as well as Lukas Kraemer, Manager of Complete Vehicle,
Taycan, to give a presentation to attendees. Kraemer went a step further and allowed us to film a tour of components underneath the EV, as well as inside a car without its interior. In the video above, you’ll learn about the three-chamber air suspension, battery tech — including how the cooling system works — and more.

| | PCA—One beautiful summer day we were on an adventure with seven of our newly found friends on the Lolo Trail and Magruder Corridor. This is one of the trails Lewis and Clark followed on their Corps of Discovery. This section of the
corridor is in the Bitterroot Mountains in Idaho. The scenery was sublime. The dirt and gravel road was somewhat challenging, but nothing Otis and the other vehicles couldn’t handle. There were signs along the road indicating points of interest. One of the signs showed there was a location where Lewis and Clark and some of the Nez Perce (Nimíipuu or Nee-Me-Poo) Chiefs had smoked a peace pipe.
