Hi!!!
The other day, I was standing outside when I heard this loud BOOM!!! My reaction was wrong - I froze mid stride. I will not survive the Zombie Apocalypse.
Anyway, the loud noise was fireworks (which are illegal BTW), someone was driving up the road and tossing them out their car window. Lovely, right?
I have four dogs and while none of them are fans of fireworks, Rodrigo is a hot mess and the worst of the pack. I've been fortunate to be able to work through his fears through exercise, supplementation, and a loud movie.
- I add Ewegurt (a natural calming supplement made from raw sheep's milk) to Rodrigo's meals on the weekends and every day the two weeks leading up to and including the Fourth of July.
- During those two weeks, I take Rodrigo on a lot of walks; when he's tired, he's less anxious and sleeps well at night.
