This weekend's message is a standalone Easter message from pastor Mark. This message is based on the following Bible passage: Mark 16:1-8.

 

The message is entitled: "The Easter Invitation." The message will focus on a theme that emerges whenever people encounter God in the Bible -- and the invitation (or command) given to them -- "Do not be afraid." We will talk about that theme in the Easter story, and relate it to our lives today. It seems there is an ever-growing list of things we can all be fearful about. It seems that every week, there is news about some new pollutant, medical condition, political issue, or world problem that we should be afraid of. The message will focus on God's work in the world, and our own lives -- especially as demonstrated in the Easter story -- that changes this.
