Winter is not a season, it is a celebration.
There is something inherently honest about wintertime. The landscape is bare and naked; you see the structure of the trees and the mountains without the coverings of the trees, leaves and flowers. This is just like a good designer vision- we need to see the bones of a space before we can dress it up!
Slowing down to see the truth of the season is the greatest gift you can give yourself.
Allowing the natural slowing down that comes with wintertime is the best gift you can give yourself. Break the habit it being busy and of over-giving.
Instead, maybe this season of celebration you will start to give gifts of your time, an adventure or a needed resource. Seeing the truth of what is needed and responding to that is the kindest gift of all.
Kindness is like snow, it beautifies everything it covers.
~ Kahlil Gibran
Who do you know that needs some kindness this season?
Gifts that can help bring joy that lasts the whole year around can be good for you, for the planet and for those you love.
